The answer depends on your routing - different routes take different times, and layovers can add a lot of time if youare not flying direct. The best way to answer is to look at www.expedia.com and plug in your routing (from Houston to Rome) and pull up all of the flight options. You will note that each option includes its travel time. The time in Rome is GMT +1. Central time is GMT -6. So Rome will generally be seven hours ahead of someone in the Central time zone. Of course, this can vary based on daylight savings time, because the US recently moved the dates for daylight savings time so that they are out of synch with the nations that recognize daylight savings time.

it should take less than 7 hrs.

A direct flight would be approx. 11 Hrs 8 Min. You can get flight times for airports all over the world at https://www.jets.com/ Hope this helps with your project!

There is no direct flight from Houston - Rome. My best bet is 15 hrs - this is based on IAH - LGW - Rome. 9 hrs IAH - LGW followed by a lovely 2-3 hrs in Gatters then 2-3 hrs from Gatters to Rome. My advice - go through Frankfurt or Schipol. Yes Rome time is CET +7 hr
