Try expedia.com or priceline.com. I always use expedia.com for my air fare from the north to Las Vegas. Last year I used priceline.com for my birthday trip in June 2010 for time and I only paid $280.60 for air from the north to Las Vegas.

They have special gamblers flights from alot of places.I took one from okla. city to vegas for a $100.

use orbitz to find the cheapest airline and then start moving the days around. +/- 3 days. and dont be picky of time of day or direct flights. Only look for price. Houston doesnt have any of the deep discount airlines like Spiritair. Flights will always be >$300. Spirit start flights from dallas in april i think. Which means they will offer flights round trip to vegas for around $100 a times.

From lots of travel experience - Use www.hotwire.com or www.southwest.com These are the sites I use nearly for all of our traveling and I just booked yet another trip on hotwire.com. This hotwire.com site allows you to see the options you have for the different airlines - except Southwest Airlines - they aren't on hotwire.com. Southwest Airlines departs from Houston Hobby and goes to Las Vegas - check their flights as well.
