Very early, I hope I can do something fun on the plane. Please pray or hope for the best that for my flight! I'll be in Houston for a week, amy have team to come here on Y!A, we'll see. If I see Vanshee anywhere, that would be weird but cool! FQ: Martin Caceres to Juventus. Elano to Galatasary. Both of them could have gone to AC Milan and fit right in, no? @La Pulga: Yeah, I'm coming from Dulles, don't know wher I'm stopping or landing, probably Chicago or straight trip to Houston. I don't have any wierd storires though. Caceres will fit better at Milan than Juventus. He can play left back and will probably start at left back instead of Jankulovski. At Juve, he's getting more bench time. Elano also can perform well, him at center mid or a forward, that would work well, and Milan's chances don't look so good so they should try to get someone but I agree they have to raise the price higher. Oh goodness the flight went well, thank you all for the support. I only got 4 hours of sleep because I was so nervous, after the first flight to Tampa I was more relaxed. Now I can enjoy my vacation! @Rapture: actually the plane is topping in Chicago on the way back. Hi Van Shee! I'm in Pearland with my family and probably staying there for the most part.

good luck but I dont know I mean last two months there has been lot of plane accidents from "Air France" one to the other 3 accidents so i dont know, ur plane might be number 5. but good luck anyway. I was in Houston too last month and its nice there BUT I COULDNT SEE VANSHEE!!!! I would be travelling and would be coming in via the Houston InterContinental Airport and would need to board a different flight in Houston Hobby Airport. I would come back to Houston again in a day and would leave through the Intercontinental Airport. Is there any locker facility available for me to store luggage in either of the airports? If not in the airport,some place in Houston City itself would also be fine

There are no lockers at either of the Houston airports. Most major airports have done away with lockers for security reasons.

I'm flying from PHX to HOU on Southwest and then connecting to JetBlue to New York. How hard is it to make that connection. It looks like I will have about 45 minutes to make that connection. Also would my luggage be transferred??

The airport is not that big. 45 minutes is enough for a connection time. Your luggage should be transferred so you do not need to pick up your bags until you reach New York.

Hobby isn't a huge airport so you will be able to make your connection.Your luggage as well. I've done that a few times and surprisingly, I got my luggage. American is the airlines that is good for losing luggage. Enjoy your trip!

Houston Hobby is a one terminal airport. However, 45 minutes will not be enough time to make that JetBlue flight. Southwest and JetBlue do not interline, so you would have to pick up your luggage and re-check it into JetBlue. I just did some digging on jetBlue's site, and they have a 30 minute cut-off time for check-in for Houston. So it's not likely that they would allow you to check in. My suggestion would be to gate check your bag at Southwest, and then gate check the bag for Jetblue. That way you can just show up at the gate directly for jetblue and check in there and ask them to tag your bag. Since they fly the E-190 on the route, I'm sure it wouldn't be an issue since that plane is pretty small overhead bins. ***UPDATE*** Your baggage WILL NOT be transferred for you! Southwest and JetBlue do not interline. Southwest will send your bags to the baggage claim and you will have to claim them and check them in with JetBlue!! If you assume that your checked luggage will be automatically rerouted, then you'll be without underwear for x-amount of days. Follow my gate check advice if you want to save time and get your luggage.

Hobby is a rather small airport. You should not have a problem as tall. I had a 35 min connection through Atlanta the other day. Now that was tough!

WATCH YOUR TIME.. I've been caught up passing through Houston because of the time zone changes. Your luggage will be transferred, but AS SOON AS YOU EXIT THE RAMP.. go to the desk and find out if you have time to make the connection.. they may have to put you on one of those scooters to get you there. You are in for a hairy time, but you should be able to make the connection. Of course, the flight crew on your plane can tell you, too.

Probably the airline's website directly is the best option. I fly a lot (several times a month) for work so I book a lot of travel. I usually check expedia.com or orbitz.com or one of those sites, and see which airline has the cheapest flights. Then, I go to that airline's website and pick the exact same flights, and more than 99% of the time I get the exact same fare. Except, most of those websites charge a "booking fee" of $5 or more so it's actually cheaper through the airline. And many airlines guarantee that you will get the cheapest fare through their own website. I know American Airlines does this and probably most others do also. Also, many of the "low-fare" airlines (Southwest, JetBlue) do not list their fares on those websites so you actually have to go to the airline's websites. However, most of the time I find those airlines to be at least as expensive as other airlines. Plus, like with Southwest, you'd have to fly into Ft. Lauderdale instead of Miami, which may work for you, but if you have to pay to get from there to Miami (like a cab or a shuttle or something) then it may not be cost effective even if the airline ticket is only a little cheaper. So basically, it pays to shop around but generally the airline's website is cheaper.

Am flying into DFW on American Airlines and connecting to another AA flight to Houston. Problem is, which terminal? AA services 3 terminals at DFW and my particular flights, both of them, are actually American Eagle, which services an additional 2 terminals. Which of the 5 terminals do I use? It is not on my e-ticket. As I have never been to DFW and this is only my second time flying, I'm not sure where this information would be. Any help is appreciated.

You can ask a person who is working at the gate when you leave your first flight. DFW isn't that hard to navigate (i've been through there several times). When in doubt, ask. They won't bite, i promise. I've always asked just in case, so i know where i'm going.

DFW is one of my favorite airports! There are plenty of volunteers walking about you can ask or check the info boards. Once you know the correct terminal and gate, jump on the Skylink fir an easy trip to your correct terminal.

Though the bulk of American Eagle flights at DFW go into the B terminal, there are some Eagle flights that will go out of different terminals. You can go to the AA website the day before your flight to check the flight status for your flights -- in addition to showing whether the flight is on time, it will also show departure and arrival gates for the flights. American flight attendants are also good at announcing arrival and connection gates during the flight, so when they make those announcements, you'll get to find out information on the gates there, too. Keep in mind, though, that these gates can change -- you'll want to double-check the gate information located on monitors throughout the airport.

You will not know what gate your flight will be assigned to to disembark in DFW. You also can't be sure which gate the flight will be to houston until you actually land in DFW. There are no non-stops from Houston to BKK according to Travelocity. Qatar Airways changes planes in Doha, Qatar Emirates Airlines changes planes in Dubai British Airways changes planes in London Air France changes planes in Paris Lufthansa changes planes in Frankfurt Continental changes planes in Tokyo Prices vary depending on your dates.... I plugged in 4/14 and 4/28 and the lowest prices was on Qatar for $1419.

You can't! The plane has to stop for fuel and to pack extra food. The cheapest airline to fly there would be Northwest Airlines. I'm flying to Malaysia with them next month and it only costs me a little over $1k.

That's plenty of time. If you book a whole trip that includes a connection, the airline (BA) is responsible for your connection. If your flight from Houston is so delayed that you miss the connection, BA will rebook you for free on another flight.

Yes.. It's plenty of time. Make sure you check your bags all the way through to Barcelona if they will let you. Some airlines don't have an interline agreement and will make you claim, and recheck your luggage at your connection point.. Only chartered flights for gamblers and a small commuter airline go there. (Laughlin NV.) Sun Country Airlines only goes to a few cities and is mainly for gambling junkets. The closest airport with major carriers is Las Vegas. Take a bus or rent a car from there. Look up info about Laughlin NV. You might be able to get there by staying at a casino for the night. You also might be able to get free transportation from Vegas from one of the casinos.

No. Airlines do not compensate for "acts of god" aka weather. You're lucky they put you on a flight the next morning...I was once delayed for 3 days due to a single night of fog.

Which airlines program? Many of them are changing due to the financial issues the airlines are having. I belong to American Airlines AAdvantage program. With them, you need 25,000 miles to get a round trip ticket (restricted fare, i.e. the kind that you use or lose based on a specific flight) for anywhere within the continental US that AA flies. You need instruction, etc. Having your ground work under your belt (I assume you've already taken the written exam) will help but understand that there is a longer road ahead of you than behind you at this point. While the FAA allows you to take your checkride with as man as 35 or 40 hours, 60 hours is more common and 100 hours is not unusual. Rather than focus just on price, you should ask around and see what recommendations you want. Unless I misunderstood your question - you cant find any flight school that will just put you up in a plane, solo. Its just not done. There has to be a flight instructor with you at all times until a certain phase of the training program when the instructor is assured you know exactly what you are doing. So - all you really need to do is crack open the phone book or search the internet for flight training schools near you and ask questions. There is nothing like getting the word from the horses mouth. Any flight school or independent person just shunting a person up in the sky with no training would lose their license in a heartbeat and could even face heavy jail time especially when it comes to a minor.

It's going to depend on two factors -- whether the domestic and international flights are on the same ticket, and whether the airlines are the same or different. If the flights are on different tickets, then the chances are good that you'll have to claim your bags in Houston and then recheck them onto the next flight. If they're on the same ticket, then the chances are better that your baggage can be checked all the way through from Dallas, but that will depend on whether the flights are on the same airline or not as well. If the flights are on the same airline and were purchased as a single ticket, then it is definite that they will transfer your luggage to the second flight for you. If you're flying on separate airlines, whether they will transfer the luggage will depend on whether those two airlines have interline baggage agreements. If the agreement exists, then your bags can be transferred for you, but if no agreement exists, then you must claim your bags yourself. If your flights are on separate airlines, you'll want to check with them to see whether an interline baggage agreement exists.

Definately not!! The USA insist that you collect your luggage and re check it at your final point of departure from the US and collect it and recheck it at your arrival point in the US. The same goes for immigration. It is not too much trouble as usually you collect it, pass through security and drop it off immediately the other side (a few hundred feet between pick up and drop off). The reason being that you pass through customs declaration for international flights, which obviously you dont for domestic flights. Also, the US has different baggage allowance than the rest of the world....watch out for that. (European hand luggage is smaller than US and it is ONE piece). Have fun!!

Some areas are more susceptible to turbulent winds although they cannot be predicted, they can most certainly be always a bit more prevelant in certain areas. Unfortunately, the British Isles are one of those places. I flew from Detroit to Germany last month and experienced quite a bit of turbulence over the British Isles. The lady sitting next to me even told me this prior to us flying over England. She was a business woman that made very frequent trips to Germany (which requires air travel over Great Britian) and she said it was like that every time. So besides that one area, my trip was very smooth. There really is nothing to worry about though.

I actually booked an incredibly cheap flight by going directly to an airline website (Southwest Airlines in my case). Going direct to the airline gave me a promotional airfare that bested Travelocity and Priceline by a good $150. Southwest is supposed to start Houston to San Francisco on 08/26. You can also sometimes get cheaper fares if you can fly into/out of an alternate airport. Say, San Jose instead of San Francisco.

its ok. probably better then continentals seats

I heard its pretty good. There is direcTV onboard (you get your own small screen) and they give entire cans of drinks (not just a cup)

jetblue is the best. comfy leather seats, lots of leg room, and directv at every seat. enjoy the flight!

If you remove the bad publicity JetBlue received from the Valentine's Day fiasco in New York, they are one of the top discount carriers. The airline was ranked in the top 5 companies in terms of customer service (before the Valentine's Day fiasco). They are still a good airline to fly. You will enjoy your flight.

If you take the 1 stop Singapore airlines flight, the total time from gate to gate is estimated at 22 hours ( yikes!). Currently its 842am in Houston, and 942pm in Singapore. Same day.
