Flying with daughter from Mumbai to Newark. I plan to drop my daughter at Newark then take a connecting flight?
Flying with daughter from Mumbai to Newark. I plan to drop my daughter at Newark then take a connecting flight to Houston which is after 3 hours of arrival at Newark. I have some relatives coming ot Newark airport. How do I meet them after completing immigration? Will it require coming out of airport completely? And I will have to travel to catch the connecting flight to Houston?

Yes you will have to leave and go back through the screening process, also thanks to that idiot that walked into a secure area in Newark not to long ago and the underwear bomber it is going to longer to go through this process you wont have much time to spend with them, your better off staying there for a night and have a good time with your family then take your flight the next day.

If you're arriving internationally into the US, there are stringent security checks in place at the airport now. You'll have to wait in the aircraft for approximately an hour for them to check the airplane thoroughly before you can alight. If you wanna meet your relatives, then you'd have to clear immigration. I'd suggest to opt for a longer connecting time or stopover if u wanna meet your relatives.

are there any cheap flights from houston to pittsburgh

are there any cheap flights from houston to pittsburgh?
usually flights in this category cost around 300 or less, but now its 400 for the cheapest for a dec 18 - jan 2 flight. Why is it so costly now, and would I be better off waiting a bit to buy a ticket or just take the 400 one now. I've done this similar flight before for a 100 dollars less so I'm confused why it's so expensive NOW. just to add, the thing is i have flown this same time for about 4 yrs...with nowhere near the same fares. thats why i'm so confused. but i guess i'll just watch and wait.

The reason why you're seeing the prices increase for your specific dates is because you're trying to fly during the busiest travel period of the year (the Christmas and New Years' period). You will, in all likelihood, not be better off waiting to purchase your ticket -- airlines realize that this is an extremely high-demand period and have little incentive to reduce prices. Your best options right now are either to buy the ticket you want or see whether moving your travel dates a little will help. (I'd venture that the date that is causing your price to go high is the January 2 return date -- a Sunday immediately following a holiday is usually very busy and more expensive. Moving that date to the 3rd, for example, might result in a lower fare.)

One site may be slightly lower than another but the supply and demand economic rule applies to all financial transactions…..make your purchase on reliability and common sense……what will work for you…….and……..your travel requirements…..always use trusted and ethical travel sites…….yahoo travel…….orbitz……travelocity……expidea or club type membership….AAA or AARP. Take a moment to make sure a cheap ticket is worthwhile and reliable……..I can’t recommend any one site…….its up to you to search and decide what is right for you. If you see what appears to be a good deal … grab it…don’t worry if the price goes up our down a little bit next week……

Just as Nako mentioned, you are selecting travel dates around Christmas time. After the first week of December, ticket prices tend to steadily rise and get especially expensive the few days surrounding Christmas. Ailines know that passengers want to be home for the holidays and are willing to spend more money during that time. I suggest you buy now before the ticket prices go up. Another option is to see if Southwest has anything.

Is 2 hours enough time to catch a connecting flight from Toronto ON to Houston and then to New Orleans

Is 2 hours enough time to catch a connecting flight from Toronto ON to Houston and then to New Orleans?
Thinking about a flight with the following timeline. Departing Toronto Canada, arriving in Houston Tx on an Air Canada flight. 2 hours later leaving for New Orleans on a Continental flight. There is a terminal change in Houston. Is 2 hours enough time and will I need to collect my luggage and recheck it or will it go straight to the connecting flight?

You should go through US Immigration (passport control) and Customs in Toronto. If yes, Air Canada will transfer your checked luggage to Continental and all you have to do in Houston is go to the gate for the flight to New Orleans. Two hours is enough time for that - even if your flight is not exactly on time.

I doubt it very much Houston is well in land and Hurricanes lose their strength over land

Could be...people are already evacuating outlaying areas of Houston in anticipation.

My parents are Belizean :-) I haven't been there yet, but all my cousins tell me its beautiful. I don't think it will be a problem flying. The storm isn't projected to hit the coast of Texas until Wednesday. You should be fine. Happy travels.
