what happens if I skip the final leg of a one-way flight and stay in the city where the first leg stops

what happens if I skip the final leg of a one-way flight and stay in the city where the first leg stops?
I want to fly from LAX to Dallas, tickets are $40 cheaper if I ticket to Houston. The flight stops in Dallas. What happens if I don't take the second leg and get off in Dallas? I will not check any luggage.

If you miss the second flight, you are SOL. Why would you do that, Houston is hours from the Ugly Dallas

You'll simply be shown as a no-show for the 2nd sector. If it's only a one way ticket you shouldn't have any problems, although if you go for a return, your problems start the minute you miss the flight to Dallas, as the rest of the trip will be cancelled.

If you, as explained here you buy a OW (one-way) the most that can happen is that the airline charges you the difference to your credit card. BUT, if you buy an R/T (return ticket), the moment you miss one leg the whole itinerary is cancelled! And considered forfeited.

Assuming the plane stops at the gate to allow passengers off and on (not just for fuel), and you have all your carry-on items, nothing will happen. Just make sure that Dallas is the stop on the one-way flight and you'll be fine.

How long is the flight from Rio de Janeiro to Houston, Texas

How long is the flight from Rio de Janeiro to Houston, Texas?
So, I'm writing an essay about flight travels and times, based on the book, Breaking Dawn, from the Twilight Saga, and I've found the time between Seattle and Houston, now I need Houston and Rio de Janeiro, does anyone know any thing that could help or do actually know the time it takes to get from Houston, Texas, USA to Rio de Janeiro by plane? Thanks, Lucy x

Probably about 9 hours.

Well, I think you have to make a stopover in Sao Paulo first, if traveling to/from Houston IAH, I don't know if there are any direct flights. I guess not. It takes 12:25 for the entire trip, about 10 hours from Houston to Sao Paulo, one hour stopover and then about 2 more hours from Sao Paulo to Rio. The same applies on the way back from Rio to Houston.

The flight time for a direct flight is approx. 11 Hrs 2 Min. You can get flight times for airports all over the world at https://www.jets.com/ Hope this helps with you essay!

google "Hooks airport", one of the country's largest private airports located in north Houston.

All I can tell you is to stay away from a flight school called "ATP." This abreviation stands for airline transport professionals. I have spoke to many airpline pilots, because I work for an airline, and the academy has the 'pilot factory' image. The academys' theme is to accelerate training to get you qualified for a job faster. .In the academys' eyes, it's just to lock you in and get your money faster. By locking you in, I mean there is a CONTRACT involved. Look up "AOPA" online and search for "finding the right flight school." In some of the articles, the AOPA verifies and confirms these types of flight schools are operated without the student in mind, only your wallet. The academy makes a pathetic attempt to certify a pilot and if that pilot does get their license, its a good as a G.E.D. Its terrible, piss poor training. So if you want quality training, they are NOT the way to go.

You used to get credit for that trip too! Easy way to get your Frequent Flyer up. Ellington had free parlking, so people who lived south of Houston could park free, check their luggage without a wait and get through security in a small airport, then they got ff credit. It was awesome!!! And, it takes so long to get in and out of IAH that the extra hour was made up by hopping right in your car!

There were flights between the NYC airports. Which are maybe 10 of 15 miles apart. But, I guess if you had a connection from another airport, it could be worth it. I don't know what the cost would have been though. The other service that came to mind has just been discontinued (for obvious reasons.) The flight was a 10 minute hop between LNK and OMA which are about a 45 mile drive apart. That drive is all Interstate 80 going 80 mph! The entire flight was from Denver, CO to McCook, NE to Kearney,NE to Grand Island, NE to Lincoln,NE to Omaha, NE to Kansas City, MO.

How about a 747 from oakland to san francisco 8 air miles.. Uniteds maintaice base is in oakland and they actually flew passengers from the two cities, and then the plane flew on to tokyo or somewhere in asia.. It was a way to reposition aircraft when they came in from long flight for serviceing,,, the total flyt time was 10 minutes,,.
