1 :
No, best to go via Newark on Continental.
2 :
try this http://www.globester.com
3 :
If Continental Airlines does not have a direct flight, then you will have to connect in either Newark or Cleveland.
4 :
There are no airlines offering nonstop service between Buffalo and Houston. Southwest Airlines does have direct service (meaning that there is no change of planes or flight numbers); however, it is also not nonstop.

Do I have to fly both legs of a flight

Do I have to fly both legs of a flight?
Houston, Texas to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico on Continental is about $1025.00 round trip for two people. Austin, Texas to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico on Continental is $600.00 round trip for two people on the same date. The Austin to Cabo flight stops in Houston and then changes planes to the exact same flights as the Houston to Cabo trip. So can I purchase the Austin to Cabo trip and just use the Houston to Cabo leg? Do I really have to drive to Austin to save almost $400? This cant be right is it?

If you don't fly one of the legs, the airline will consider you a no-show and canx your entire itinerary. Chances are, you will not get any refunds too. They do this to keep people from 'cheating the system' because airlines often offer discounts to certain cities like Austin.
2 :
Exactly, a "no-show" for any-one of the trip's leg, is equal to TOTAL cancellation. 3 :
They won't let you on in Houston as your ticket will have been cancelled due to No Show
4 :
yep, ya gotta drive to Austin. If you show up in Houston, they will charge you the fare difference, or you don't get on the flight. It is $200 r/t Albuquerque-DFW-Pittsburgh....but if you just get on in DFW, it's $350. Go figure!`\

Connecting flights , different airlines; what about my luggage

Connecting flights , different airlines; what about my luggage?
I'm planning on travelling from Montréal, QC to Lake Charles,LA. I have a Montréal - New York ticket with Air Canada and a New York - Houston flight with Continental Airlines. Will my luggage follow between both airlines or do I have to get it back and check it in again in New York? The problem is I don't have much time in NY and I feel checking in my luggage there would make me miss my connecting flight. I know that when you're flying the same airline, it's checked to your final destination. What about for different airlines?

if you booked them separately, you might have to check out your luggage and re-check in them to the next flight. i flew from singapore to kuala lumpur, via malaysia airlines, and then KL to manila via KLM, but didn't check out my luggage when i got in KL. i called northwest airlines, and they arranged the flights for me.
2 :
did you book through the same company, or did you book one flight and then go into the other airline? If the same agent or airline, they do it when you check in and the computer shows your final destination. If you booked one and then seperately the other, I would call either or both airlines and ask them what they can offer
3 :
Ask Air Canada and then ask again at the ticket counter. If you bought the two flights together, you shouldn´t have to check the bags in twice.
4 :
I think you can ask Air Canada to check your bag all the way through because they have interline e-ticketing agreement with Continental, so they can access the same computer information. But you will still need to check in with Continental.
